- FEIST FOREST | ROOTED TO INSTINCT -
A collective of independent minds and makers, building products that last. Working on ideas and actions towards a sustainable future.
- FEIST FOREST FOLK -
Vicki is the founder, designer and wood finisher at Feist Forest. With a degree in Product and Furniture design she took a diverse path, exploring the world and various creative fields. After 14 years, instinct brought her back to Devon. On her travels it was the humble table that gathered many curious people together. Stories and ideas revealed across it, things made and sculpted upon it, each time gathering independent people together. Upon her return, she wished to collaborate with like-minded folk to build products that last alongside nature, supporting the very people that make life so interesting.
With a background in conservation, the Sutton brothers have been in the timber trade since 1984 and provide Feist Forest with quality home grown Ash. They approach their trade mindfully: "We believe that conservation is not just a label but also a lifestyle choice that we choose to adopt".
Sutton Timber provide us with the name and location of the woodland where our Ash is sourced. We proudly share this on a tag supplied with your table, so you know exactly where your wood comes from.
Ben Algar is both a furniture maker and a wood carver, highly recommended for his talent, skills and passion for wood. Ben has been honing his craft for the last 10 years, in industrial projects, in the workshop or studying the art of wood carving in Finland.
Ben handcrafts Feist Forest tables in small batches at his workshop near Cublington, Bedfordshire. Each table is made with a high level of care and precision.
Flora Jamieson has been designing and making stained glass for nearly 20 years. She works from a converted outbuilding studio at her home in Bridport, Dorset. Her stained glass practice embraces both the contemporary and the traditional: as well as designing and making windows and decorative objects in her own distinctive style, she also works as a freelance glass painter for other stained glass studios, producing restoration pieces for church and domestic windows, specializing in the Victorian era.
